Great Success For Open Heritage Days

The Shed threw open its doors on 20th and 21st September as part of the 2025 Milton Keynes Heritage Days — and the response was overwhelming.

Over the weekend, hundreds of visitors came through the doors to explore the workshops, meet members, and discover the Shed’s role in supporting creativity, skill-sharing, and community wellbeing. Some were so inspired that they have already expressed interest in joining as members.

The Open Days also proved to be a remarkable fundraiser, bringing in more than £2,000 through a raffle, tombola, and the sale of cakes, burgers, tools, and handcrafted items made by Shed members.

Organisers have praised the “incredible team effort” that made the event possible. Special thanks go to Vicky Amos, who spent months planning and promoting the Open Days to ensure their success.

The Shed looks forward to welcoming new faces inspired by the event, and to continuing its work as a place where people can make, mend, and connect. Photos from the weekend will be shared in due course.
